Our names are Wilkin and Stacey Rijo and we are the founders and Pastors of Love in the Streets Ministry.
Our mission is simple: love people the right way. To see them as Jesus does, meet them where they are, and lead them toward hope and transformation.
At LITS, we exist to love people in such a way that they encounter Jesus through that love. Living by 1 Peter 4:8—"Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins"—we believe that when someone experiences the love of Jesus, it brings hope, healing, and restoration, performing a kind of “spiritual surgery” in their hearts.
Our ultimate goal is community. We believe the Church is not a building but a family—a people with hearts turned to God. We start by loving deeply, then build up, disciple, and equip others, sending them back out to share that love.
We create safe spaces for everyone through Bible study, discipleship classes, outreach and community events, serving one another, and sharing our experiences and testimonies with open hearts.
Together, we grow in faith, encourage one another, and equip the saints to boldly share the truth and love of Jesus with everyone they encounter.
At LITS, we submit to the Holy Bible as God’s inspired and trustworthy truth.
We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
We follow Jesus Christ, God’s only Son, as the sacrificial Savior who made a way for our sins to be forgiven.
We honor baptism as an act of faith. When we turn from our old life of sin—a step called repentance—we submit ourselves to God. In baptism, He transforms us, and we rise to “walk in newness of life” (Romans 6:4).
We embrace the gifts of the Holy Spirit through the laying on of hands and welcome His guidance, comfort, and direction in every part of our lives.
And we hold confidently to Christ’s promise to return for His bride.
